职业背景

My background is in Finance: I have a PhD in law and 15 years experience in financial derivatives. I now run my own company valuing derivatives for banks, hedge funds and other asset managers. I therefore understand the difficulties and opportunities of running a small business.

I have to date only invested in my own company and listed instruments such as bonds and equities. I am now looking to become involved in direct investment in smaller businesses. I have a very good network of contacts at senior levels in various businesses throughout Europe and Asia.

Status: individual investor. Anticipated involvement: advisory. I am happy to be more hands on where my contacts might assist. I am looking for investments which have at least some trading history - minimum 12 months, so I have some idea of how the management team are defining their goals / executing strategy.
